Red Flag Campaign Workshop

Location: LSC210
Information about the red flags of intimate
partner violence will be discussed and participants will have the opportunity
to write their own red flag behavior on a flag to be displayed on the plaza
day.
Wednesday April 4th-
Film Screening – The Price of Pleasure
Hosted by Sigma Lambda Beta
International Fraternity Inc
Time: 6:00 pm

This eye-opening and disturbing film places
the voices of critics, producers, and performers alongside the observations of
men and women as they candidly discuss the role pornography has played in
shaping relationships. Going beyond the debate of liberal versus conservative so common
in the culture, this film provides a holistic understanding of pornography as
it debunks common myths.
Thursday April 5th –
Real Workshop: Intersecting Identities and Barriers to Care
Come and explore how different identities can create both real and
perceived barriers to seeking resources for survivors of sexual assault and
rape.

Thursday April 5th –
Clothesline Project display and t-shirt making
Partner with GUIDE
Location: AV
Time: 6-8pm
The clothesline project is a visual display of shirts with
messages and illustrations that have been designed by survivors (or their loved
ones). The shirts will be displayed and students will also have the opportunity
to make shirts that represent their experiences for the exhibit.
Monday April 9th –
Film Screening: Men and Boys Healing
Partner with GUIDE

Time: 7-9
One in six men in the United States are survivors of childhood
sexual abuse. 'Boys and Men Healing' documents the impact that sexual abuse has
on individuals and society. Three men tell their stories of survival and
recovery and reveal how speaking out helped them heal and reclaim their lives.

SAAM day on the Plaza

Time: 10-4pm
SAAM awareness on the plaza will include
games, prizes, community and campus resources, the Clothesline Project, the Red
Flag Campaign, CTMO and more!
Wednesday April 11th –
WGAC Open House/Breakfast-
Location: WGAC
Time: 9-4
Stop by WGAC to grab some grub, say hi, meet
the staff, and check out some of our great resources. We will have games,
raffles and refreshments all day.
Friday April 13th-
Workshop- Lean On Me: How to Support Survivors of Sexual Violence
Location: LSC 227
Time: 11:15-12:15
This workshop will explore the experiences of secondary survivors.
We will discuss how to best support the survivors in our lives while also
taking care of our own emotional needs.
Monday April 16th-

Facilitated by: Jennifer Babos

This workshop will explore tips for faculty
who wish to learn more about how to best support survivors of interpersonal
violence in their classrooms.

Workshop: Queering Gender:
How the Social Construction of Gender Leads to Verbal, Physical and Sexual
Violence
2-3:30

This participatory session with Thomas
Walker, PhD from the University of Denver will critically examine gender as it
intersects with other identities. Participants will be encouraged to think
complexly about the social construction of gender with an aim of “queering”
contemporary notions of gender to help prevent the stifling gender
socialization that leads to violence in its many forms.

Women at Noon: Mia Mingus
Location: Grey rock room
Time: 12-1
It is always better to speak. Come to this lunchtime session to
learn about the survivor experience, on-going work to end sexual violence and
what bystanders can do to shift conditions that perpetuate violence. This
session is designed to serve as an introduction that will leave participants
with an understanding of why survivor leadership is critical for our
movements.
Wednesday April 25th –
Take Back The Night
Location: Sculpture Garden, LSC
Time: 6-9
This internationally recognized rally and protest creates an
atmosphere of empowerment, while raising awareness about sexual violence. The
events begins with a Speak Out and ends with a march to Old Town Square where
keynote speakers include Mia Mingus and Suzi Q.
Monday April 30th -
CTMO Carnival
Location: AV
Time: 6-9
The Consent Turns Me On carnival will include games, prizes and
the CTMO photo booth. Bring your best CTMO pick-up lines!
