The "rules" of gender impact our relationships, decisions, and beliefs. This workshop will look specifically at the pro's and con's of masculinity. We will discuss what the "rules" are and how men's decisions may be affected by the pressure to conform. We will also discuss the ripple effects experienced by the other people in men's lives. In the spirit of Sexual Assault Awareness Month we will also talk about what exactly can be done to decrease instances of gendered violence.

Clothesline Project Info:


Are you a survivor of sexual assault, relationship violence, child sexual abuse or abuse/harassment because of your sexual orientation? Then consider making a t-shirt for the Clothesline Project! The Clothesline Project is a national project where survivors of violence and their loved ones create t-shirts (think puffy paints and fabric markers) to share their stories. The shirts are then hung shoulder to shoulder on a clothesline at awareness events to raise the public’s awareness about interpersonal violence. No one knows who made each shirt or even who has made a shirt for the project – the identity of shirt makers is kept confidential.


Drop by WGAC to make a shirt on April 15th. All shirt making materials will be provided free of charge!
